I saw a man dying and I could not save him
the ditch where he laid he appeared to be sleeping
seeing the light turning back to see him breathing
with a sigh of relief I'm moving still nearer

I can't help but wonder is he a believer
did someone watch him die in a rearview mirror
miracle of life gone out in an instant
the closest that I've been why did I have to see it

I guess God has a way of bringing us around
